The group was formed in late 1974 as Hydra with Giorgio Lobascio on guitar, and took its current name in 1975 (though their first concert was under the name Stato d'Allarme) after a stable line-up with the entrance of Aldo Bergamini as lead singer and guitarist, having a good live activity in their local area of Vercelli. A promo cassette, La guerra dei topi, was recorded in the early years. The original five-piece survived until 1982, helped by guest members from time to time, like keyboardist Vittorio Pallavicini and guitarist David Rampone.
