My born name is Terrence Benjamin, the name FLIP was chosen due to the fact that I'm always going through changes. Every time I think something is going right, the tables turn... I was born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina on January 25, 1979. I always had a lot of love for music. I grew up listening to Kool G. Rap, K-Solo, Run DMC & JMJ, Audio 2, EPMD, Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Real Roxanne, BDP, Digital Underground, Nas, Slick Rick, Tupac, Kurtis Blow, Steady B, and many more but I never thought of being part of the industry. I'd rather be in the street playing basketball, or playing a video game, regular teenager things, ya know. In 1994 I moved to SE Washington DC.
