My Two Cents

Gary Gibson's debut CD, "My Two Cents," marks a turning point in the budding genre of progressive steelpan jazz. Speaking a language of harmonic depth not previously explored within the steelpan community in recorded music, Gibson's compositions provide an excellent springboard for improvisations by both Gibson and his featured sideman, flutist/soprano saxophonist Richard Warner. Guitarist John Morton also provides fine supporting tracks on both acoustic and electric guitars.
