Double Vision
David Essig and Rick Scott 'Double VIsion'
Two Canadian roots music veterans join forces for a dozen songs of life, love and loss seasoned with literate wit, the grace of grief and considerable kindness.
'Double VIsion' is acoustic roots music in the tradition of the Canadian singer songwriter, with one foot on the mountain and the other in the swamp, with influences of Delta blues, R&B, bluegrass and ole time country music.
David Essig is one of the world's great blues guitarists and songsmiths. His 13 guitars, steel, bass, mandolin, banjo and vocals are complemented by the lilt and groove of Scott’s Appalachian dulcimer and vocals.
Rick Scott is the lead singer of legendary BC folk trio Pied Pumkin and an internationally acclaimed family entertainer. DOUBLE VISION is is first CD for big folks in many years.
