So Complicated
Marcos Zeeba is a singer-songwriter that brings a taste rock and roll to lyrical songwriting.
His songs are meaningful, but often sardonic, meant to lighten the more serious conversations
about relationships and matters of the heart. His sound echoes the calm optimism of
Jason Mraz and Ben Harper, but adds a seductive pop-rock reminiscent of early Maroon 5,
Paolo Nutini, The Kooks or The Strokes.
Born in San Diego, California, Marcos moved to São Paolo, Brazil at a young age where he
studied guitar and eventually began writing music at 14. He returned to the US at 19 to study
Music Business at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. While in Hollywood, Marcos joined
the alternative-rock band Bonavox as rhythm guitar player and a contributing songwriter.
The band performed throughout Southern California and was selected as one of the 3 finalists
in the 2014 GRAMMY Amplifier Competition, which led the band to showcase at SXSW
and to open for Allen Stone in San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Separately, the band
was also one of the first musical acts to be spotlighted on Snapchat’s “Discover” page, which
launched in January.
Fueled by the excitement of his recent success with Bonavox, Marcos now embarks on a new
adventure as an independent artist. His debut EP, “So Complicated” released in May 2015
and exposes his unique voice as a songwriter. For more information about Marcos and the
