"New Horizons" is the much anticipated debut EP from Bachelors Of Science, two UK transplants now settled in the San Francisco area, creating some of the most blissful atmospheric drum n bass in the scene.

Rene was an established classical musician and producer originally born in New Zealand, while Chris came from the DJ side having previously been involved with Tripp2 records in Southampton.

After a string of back-to-back gigs that took them from the Love Affair parties, alongside such names as the Allies, Kaos, Scratch Piklz and Donald Glaude, to San Francisco's longest running weekly Phuturo, the pair turned their hand to producing.

Straight out of the box, their first ever track, a disco-tinged stormer called "Whats That Sound" was picked up and played by Grooverider for BBC Radio1, High Contrast, Doc Scott, L Double and countless others.

Their follow-ups have continued to impress even more, with tracks such as their remix of DJ Devals "Jah Creationz" receiving plays 2 weeks in a row from Bailey on 1Xtra and other tunes such as "Escape", "Delicious" and "Sometimes" constantly showing up in top tens for anyone lucky enough to get a copy.

Meanwhile their DJ sets continue to impress crowds and has led them to be featured on BBC 1Xtra's DJ Flight "Breakin New Talent" show as well as being runner up in last years Movement competition and performing at San Francisco's biggest club, Ruby Skye alongside Photek.

As well as the New Horizons EP, 2005 also see's the Bachelors first releases hitting shelves on vinyl, with the upcoming "Nobody Fault" featuring the vocal talents of Audio Angel (of Influx Datum fame), appearing on Santorin Records, the club smash "Wicked Ways" finally getting a release on Horizons Music and other upcoming releases including "Escape", "Delicious" and the mighty "Rhodes Ahead".

In September of 2005, the duo was named "one of the best upcoming producers of drum n bass" by Knowledge Magazine, the leading publication for drum n bass and electronic music.
