Johnny V (Vermilye) is a Chicago based musician who has been writing and performing music since his high-school days with his band Moonshine, to his jam band featuring members of Mr. Blotto called Medicine Wheel, through a stint with Takabite, to his current incarnation as a solo artist who often surrounds himself with some of the most enjoyable and technical musical performers in the area with the band PBJ or his band The Killer Bzzz.

The album "Inside Reality" is full of rich, layered, and organic melodies and rythyms and thoughtful and fun lyrics that can't help but take you on a musical journey. Johnny's albums are the perfect road-trip companions and yet are home around any campfire.

After "Inside Reality" was released in 2007, "Wood Chips" followed in 2011, and both are soon to be joined by John's third solo offering "Barns and Bridges" due to be released in early 2014.
