
The Art of Defenastration, Pt. 1
This album, like all albums even worth caring about has a cool backstory. Originally the idea for recording live songs with me rhyming overtop was just an imaginative image cooked up at a party with some friends. However the idea did materialize over time and through getting a small group of talented musicians together (Tony Howes - Drums, Gustav Khloin - Bass, Luke Stepleton Guitar and Mtali Banda - Tenor Sax) with the intent of recording a CD The Defenastrators were born. Funny enough, the band actually ended up doing several gigs and getting some critical acclaim before even ever scheduling the recording date. However, in late September I called up a good friend Mark Miller (who's studio SoneLab in Easthampton MA, I had interned at for some time) and asked about a date in october. We ended up marked in for the 26 of October and then started to figure out which songs would be best to be recorded in studio. We ultimately decided on the three tunes you'll find on the album Snake and a Dagger which was the fi
