EBONY VOICE (EL DUQUE DE LA SALSA) Jorge Damián Alonso del Toro, artistically known as EbonyVoice – El Duque de La Salsa, based in Barcelona Spain, was born on April 18, 1988 in Cayo Hueso, a barrio in Habana Vieja (Cuba), where rumberos defined the environment of it’s streets. His passion for music began at the age of 6 years old, playing his first notes on a piano bought for him by his mother and grandmother, María Caridad del Toro y Nieves Adelaida Pulido, who were his inspiration to achieve his goals musically and in his life. At age 17 Jorge Damián (EbonyVoice) participates and wins 1st place as THE VOICE OF GOLD, the youngest to win in the Men's category of the contest led by the great flutist and Cuban director of the orchestra NG la Banda, José Luis Cortes, El TOSCO.
